1. Have routine and thorough health check-ups

Routine and thorough health check-ups are an important part of being in control of your well-being. It is especially important for women ages 25 to 64, who are recommended to have basic check-ups annually, which are:
  • Weight and height measurement
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Thyroid functions
  • And various lab tests as well as needed x-rays
  • Do not forget to renew immunization shots. Tetanus shots, for instance have to be taken every 10 years.
  • Most important is taking your prescription medicine-especially if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or thyroid, if you want to lead a long and healthy life.
